As a single parent, Ruth intimately understands the challenges of raising children amidst limited financial and family support. Her passion lies in aiding others in overcoming difficult experiences and challenges, emphasizing individual strengths for personal transformation.

Ruth’s invaluable two-year experience on a Native American Reservation heightened her cultural awareness, a foundation she carries into her work. With a deep belief in the role of faith in God for hope, healing, and direction, Ruth embraces and respects diverse religious beliefs. She welcomes the use of Spiritual and Biblical resources in addressing life’s challenges.

Having served in behavioral health since 2000, initially as a case manager focusing on teenagers, general mental health, and serious mental illness (SMI), Ruth transitioned to become a therapist in 2017. Her person-centered, integrative, and holistic counseling approach incorporates various methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
